Meet our Secretariat!

The Rice Model UN Club leadership is composed of the Executive Board and the Director Board. The President, Secretary-General, Director of Travel Team, Secretary, Social Chair, and Treasurer serve on the Executive Board. The Directors Board is made up of the various administrative positions which help run the conference and travel team. Feel free to reach out with questions!

Collin Dwyer, President

Collin is a Sophomore at Will Rice College majoring in philosophy and minoring in Politics, Law, and Social Thought. Aside from Model UN, he loves running, basketball, lacrosse, drinking coffee, chess, and reading.

 

HuGO Gerbich-PAIS, USG of Competition Team

Hugo Gerbich Pais is a junior at Duncan College majoring in European Studies, minoring in French and Politics, Law, and Social Thought. Apart from MUN, Hugo is involved with the Rice Journal of Public Policy, the Rice Thresher and the Rice Alliance for Mental Health Awareness.

 

Dean Barazi, Secretary General of RMUN

Hey guys! I am super excited to be the Sec-Gen and plan RMUN 2024. I am a Sophomore from Will Rice majoring in Biosciences with a concentration in Cell Biology and Genetics, on the pre-med track. Outside of Model UN, I am on the Will Rice bike team, and involved in the Middle Eastern and North African Student Association! I also love trying new foods, listening to music, playing chess, and going to the gym.

 

Sara Davidson, co-Treasurer

Sara is a Junior from Brown College double majoring in Political Science and German and double minoring in History and Politics, Law, and Social Thought. She is so excited to be in the role of treasurer for the second year and looks forward to being involved with the club even while abroad in Germany for the fall semester. Outside of Model UN she is involved in student government, Brown’s bike team, and writing for the Thresher.




 
 

Grace Yetter, Co-treasurer

Grace is a Junior at Duncan College majoring in Political Science with a Certificate in Italian. Beyond MUN, she edits for Rice’s literary magazine and enjoys playing piano, hiking, cooking, and reading.

 

Juan-Pablo Cajiga-pena, Social Chair

Howdy there, I am Juan-Pablo. I plan on studying philosophy and a few other things. I love MUN with all my heart. Besides MUN I enjoy going to museums, reading, laying in grass, hanging on trees, and meditating.

 

Nithya Shenoy, Secretary

Nithya is a senior at Sid Richardson College who is majoring in Economics and minoring in Financial Computations and Modeling. She has been doing MUN since high school and helped co-found Rice MUN. Apart from Rice MUN, Nithya is the Co-President of the Baker Institute Student Forum and involved with the Rice Undergraduate Investment Fund. Her interests include reading, listening to contemporary string music, and all things nature-related.
